Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate and House of Commons of Canada, enacts as follows:

s. 1 — Right of access to records

Every person has a right to and shall, on request, be given access to any records of the House of Commons Special Committee on the Defence of Canada Regulations, whith sat in camera from 1939 to 1945.

s. 1(2) — Access to records

A person who is granted access to a record under subsection (1) shall be given an opportunity to examine the record or shall be given a copy thereof.

s. 1(3) — Fees

A person who makes a request for access to a record may be required to pay, before any copies are made, a fee reflecting the cost of reproduction.

s. 2 — record

For the purposes of this Act, record means all the minutes of the Committee proceedings, correspondence, memoranda and any other documentary material relevant to the Committee proceedings.
