What Hyperlaw is
Hyperlaw is an unofficial hypertext of Canadian federal law: every provision is a node and every citation is a link. The site connects Acts and regulations to each other and to the case law of the Supreme Court of Canada, so a reader can follow a reference from one provision to another in a single click.
Sources and licences
Legislation is sourced from the Department of Justice's Justice Laws Website and reproduced under the Open Government Licence – Canada (OGL-Canada).
Supreme Court of Canada judgments are sourced from the official Supreme Court of Canada website. Bulk reasons text comes from the Refugee Law Lab dataset:
The dataset is used under CC BY-NC 4.0. This site is non-commercial. As required by the dataset's upstream conditions, case pages carry a noindex directive and are excluded from search-engine indexing.

Hyperlaw is unofficial and is not the official version of any legislation or judgment. It is provided for reference only and is not legal advice. Accuracy is not guaranteed: verify against the official sources before relying on any text. Supreme Court headnotes and other editorial apparatus are excluded from the case text.
Privacy
Hyperlaw sets no cookies and collects no personal data. When analytics are enabled they use cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not fingerprint visitors or track them across sites. Standard server logs are kept for security and operations.
