Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, hereby transfers

(a)

from the Department of Canadian Heritage to the Parks Canada Agency the control and supervision of the portion of the public service within the Department of Canadian Heritage known as the Historic Places Policy Group, and

(b)

from the Minister of Canadian Heritage to the Minister of the Environment the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Canadian Heritage under the Department of Canadian Heritage Act related to the design and implementation of programs that have built heritage as their primary subject-matter,
