Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(b) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, hereby amalgamates and combines Communication Canada with the Department of Public Works and Government Services under the Minister of Public Works and Government Services and under the Deputy Minister of Public Works and Government Services, effective April 1, 2004.
