SI-86-64 Designating the Civil Aviation Tribunal as a Department; the Minister of Transport as Appropriate Minister for Purposes of the Financial Administration Act and as Minister for Purposes of Section 31 of the Aeronautics Act

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, is pleased hereby

(a)

pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition of department in section 2 of the Financial Administration Act, to designate the Civil Aviation Tribunal as a department for the purposes of that Act;

(b)

pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition of appropriate Minister in section 2 of the Financial Administration Act, to designate the Minister of Transport as the appropriate Minister with respect to the Civil Aviation Tribunal for the purposes of that Act; and

(c)

pursuant to section 31* of the Aeronautics Act, to designate the Minister of Transport, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of that section. S.C. 1985, c. 28, s. 5
