Provision

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, is pleased hereby

(a)

pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, to transfer to the Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources all the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Forestry under any Act of Parliament; and

(b)

pursuant to paragraph 2(b) of that Act, to amalgamate and combine the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources and the Department of Forestry under the Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources and under the Deputy Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources.
