Provision

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 5 of the Anti-Personnel Mines Convention Implementation Act a, hereby designates S.C. 1997, c. 33

(a)

the Minister of Foreign Affairs, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of all provisions of that Act, other than sections 8, 9, 10 and 22;

(b)

the Minister of National Defence, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of sections 8, 9, 10 and 18 of that Act; and

(c)

the Minister of Public Works and Government Services, a member of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, as the Minister for the purposes of sections 18 and 22 of that Act.
