Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources and the Minister of Labour, pursuant to subsection 13(4) of the Donkin Coal Block Development Opportunity Act a, hereby makes the annexed Prosecution of Provincial Offences Regulations (Donkin Coal Block). S.C. 2007, c. 33

s. 1 — Definition

In these Regulations, Nova Scotia laws means the Summary Proceedings Act (R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 450) and its regulations, as amended from time to time and, for greater certainty, includes regulations made under that Act after the coming into force of these Regulations, unless otherwise provided.

s. 2 — Nova Scotia Interpretation Act

The Nova Scotia Interpretation Act (R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 235), as amended from time to time, applies to the interpretation of the Nova Scotia laws.

s. 3 — Incorporation of Nova Scotia laws

The Nova Scotia laws are incorporated by reference and apply to prosecutions of offences under the Donkin Coal Block Development Opportunity Act.

s. 4 — Coming into force

These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
