Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 16(2) a of the Customs Tariff b, hereby makes the annexed CPFTA Rules of Origin Regulations. S.C. 2001, c. 28, s. 34(1) S.C. 1997, c. 36

Rules of Origin

The following provisions of the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the Republic of Peru, signed on May 29, 2008, have the force of law in Canada:

Articles 301 to 305;

Article 306, paragraphs 1 and 2;

Articles 307 to 315;

Article 318; and

Annex 301.

Coming into Force

These Regulations come into force on the day on which section 36 of the Canada-Peru Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act, chapter 16 of the Statutes of Canada, 2009, comes into force.[Note: Regulations in force August 1, 2009, see SI/2009-67.]
