Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 16(2) a of the Customs Tariff b, makes the annexed CIFTA Rules of Origin Regulations. S.C. 2001, c. 28, s. 34(1) S.C. 1997, c. 36

Rules of Origin

The following provisions of the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement have the force of law in Canada:

Article 3.1;

paragraph 1 of Article 3.2;

Articles 3.3 to 3.10;

paragraph 1 of Article 3.11;

Articles 3.12 to 3.14; and

Annexes 3.4 and 3.12.

Repeal

The CIFTA Rules of Origin Regulations 1 are repealed. SOR/97-63

Coming into Force

These Regulations come into force on the day on which the Act to amend the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act and to make related amendments to other Acts, chapter 6 of the Statutes of Canada, 2019, comes into force, but if they are registered after that day, they come into force on the day on which they are registered.[Note: Regulations in force September 1, 2019, see SI/2019-77.]
