His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of Canada in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness with respect to the provisions of the annexed Regulations other than section 1, and on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance with respect to that section 1, makes the annexed CCFTA Rules of Origin Regulations pursuant to

(a)

subsection 164(1.1) a of the Customs Act b; and S.C. 2017, c. 6, s. 85 R.S., c. 1 (2nd Supp.)

(b)

subsections 16(2) c and 16(4) d of the Customs Tariff e. S.C. 2001, c. 28, s. 34(1) S.C. 2020, c. 1, s. 186 S.C. 1997, c. 36

s. 1 — Rules of origin

The following provisions of the Canada-Chile Free Trade Agreement have the force of law in Canada:

Articles D-01 to D-03;

paragraph 1 of Article D-04;

Articles D-05 to D-13;

Articles D-16 and D-17; and

Annexes D-01, D-03.1 and D-03.2.

The CCFTA Rules of Origin Regulations 1 are repealed. SOR/97-340

s. 3 — Coming into force

These Regulations come into force on the 120th day after the day on which they are registered.
