Provision

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, makes the annexed CUFTA Rules of Origin Regulations under subsection 16(2) a of the Customs Tariff b. S.C. 2001, c. 28, s. 34(1) S.C. 1997, c. 36

Rules of Origin

s. 1 — Force of law

The following provisions of the Canada–Ukraine Free Trade Agreement have the force of law in Canada:

s. 1(a)

Articles 3.1 to 3.14; and

s. 1(b)

Annexes 3-A and 3-C.

Repeal

s. 2

The CUFTA Rules of Origin Regulations 1 are repealed. SOR/2017-141

Coming into Force

These Regulations come into force on the day on which section 9 of the Canada–Ukraine Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act, 2023 comes into force, but if they are registered after that day, they come into force on the day on which they are registered.[Note: Regulations in force July 1, 2024.]
