— Emergency Programs
The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary is granted the additional power to provide Emergency Programs as an extended service under the Emergency Program Act.

— Firecrackers and fireworks
The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary is granted the additional power to, by bylaw, regulate, prohibit and impose requirements in relation to the use of firecrackers and fireworks.
