245_2021 — Advertiser Information Regulation

s. 1 — Definition

In this regulation, Act means the Election Act.

s. 2 — Additional information that may be requested in notice to produce information

For the purposes of section 276.01 (3) (g) of the Act, a notice to produce information may require that an advertiser provide the following information to the chief electoral officer:

s. 2(a)

if known by the advertiser, the contact information of the individual or organization that sponsored the election advertising message, including a mailing address, residential address, email address, telephone number and fax number of the individual or organization;

s. 2(b)

a copy of any document used by the advertiser to verify the identity of the individual or organization referred to in section 276.01 (3) (b) of the Act;

s. 2(c)

copies of financial transaction records in relation to payments referred to in section 276.01 (3) (d) of the Act;

s. 2(d)

the means by which the election advertising message was transmitted;

s. 2(e)

a copy or transcript of each version of the advertising message and the dates on which each version was transmitted.
