271_2007 — Mineral Land Reserve (No Mineral or Placer Claim Registrations) Regulation

s. 1 — Definitions

In this regulation:

s. 1 — land

land includes foreshore and land covered by water;

s. 1 — land district

land district has the same meaning as in the Land Act;

s. 1 — mining division

mining division means a mining division established under section 3 of the Mineral Tenure Act;

s. 1 — site number

site number means the site number given in the registry to a particular mineral reserve shown on an electronic map in the registry.

s. 2 — Reserves established or continued

s. 2(1)

A mineral reserve for all minerals and placer minerals is established or continued over each parcel or tract of land identified by a site number and name set out in Column 1 of Table 1 in the mining division and land district set out in Column 2 of Table 1 opposite the site number and name.

s. 2(2)

A mineral reserve for all minerals and placer minerals is established over each parcel or tract of land identified by a site number and name set out in Column 1 of Table 2 in the mining division and land district set out in Column 2 of Table 2 opposite the site number and name.

s. 3 — Prohibition

s. 3(1)

A free miner must not register a mineral claim or placer claim in a reserve established or continued under section 2.

s. 3(2)

Subsection (1) does not prohibit the registration of a mineral claim or placer claim in a reserve established under section 2 (2) if the free miner's application to register the claim was made before the reserve was established.
