— Discount rates prescribed
Pursuant to section 56 of the Law and Equity Act, I hereby prescribe:
s. 1(a)
a discount rate of 1.5% per annum compound which shall be deemed to be the future difference between the investment rate of interest and the rate of increase of earnings due to inflation and general increases in productivity, and
s. 1(b)
a discount rate of 2% per annum compound which shall be deemed to be the future difference between the investment rate of interest and the rate of general price inflation.
