s. 1 — Definitions

In this regulation:

s. 1 — Act

Act means the Northern Development Initiative Trust Act;

s. 1 — electoral area

electoral area has the same meaning as in the Local Government Act.

s. 2 — Regions defined

For the purposes of the Act:

s. 2 — Cariboo-Chilcotin/Lillooet region

Cariboo-Chilcotin/Lillooet region means that area of British Columbia comprising the following:

s. 2(a)

the municipalities and electoral areas in the Cariboo Regional District;

s. 2(b)

in the Thompson-Nicola Regional district, electoral areas E and I and the following municipalities:

s. 2(b)(i)

the Village of Clinton;

s. 2(b)(ii)

the Village of Cache Creek;

s. 2(b)(iii)

the Village of Ashcroft;

s. 2(b)(iv)

the District of Logan Lake;

s. 2(b)(v)

the Village of Lytton;

s. 2(c)

in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, electoral areas A and B and the District of Lillooet;

s. 2 — Northwest region

Northwest region means that area of British Columbia comprising the following:

s. 2(a)

the municipalities and electoral areas in the Skeena-Queen Charlotte Regional District;

s. 2(b)

the municipalities and electoral areas in the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine;

s. 2(c)

the electoral areas in the Central Coast Regional District;

s. 2(d)

in the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, electoral areas A, B, E and G and the following municipalities:

s. 2(d)(i)

the Town of Smithers;

s. 2(d)(ii)

the Village of Telkwa;

s. 2(d)(iii)

the Village of Burns Lake;

s. 2(d)(iv)

the District of Houston;

s. 2(d)(v)

the Village of Granisle;

s. 2(e)

the part of the land mass of British Columbia that is not within the boundaries of a regional district;

s. 2 — Peace region

Peace region means that area of British Columbia comprising the following:

s. 2(a)

the municipalities and electoral areas in the Peace River Regional District;

s. 2(b)

the municipality and electoral areas in the Northern Rockies Regional District;

s. 2 — Prince George region

Prince George region means that area of British Columbia comprising the following:

s. 2(a)

the municipalities and electoral areas in the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George;

s. 2(b)

in the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako, electoral areas C, D and F and the following municipalities:

s. 2(b)(i)

the District of Fort St. James;

s. 2(b)(ii)

the Village of Fraser Lake;

s. 2(b)(iii)

the District of Vanderhoof.
