— Definition
In this regulation, Act means the Financial Institutions Act.
s. 2
— Prescribed classes of insurance for which insurance licence may be issued by the Insurance Council
For the purpose of section 174 (2) (b) of the Act, the prescribed classes of insurance are the following:
s. 2(a)
general insurance;
s. 2(b)
life insurance as defined in section 1 (1) of the Classes of Insurance Regulation;
s. 2(c)
accident and sickness insurance as defined in section 1 (1) of the Classes of Insurance Regulation;
s. 2(d)
travel insurance as defined in the Insurance Licensing Exemption Regulation.
