66_2022 — Ballot Form Regulation

s. 1 — Definition

In this regulation, Act means the Election Act.

s. 2 — Ordinary ballot

s. 2(1)

The form of ordinary ballot set out in Schedule 1 is prescribed for the purposes of section 86 (2) of the Act.

s. 2(2)

The form of ordinary ballot set out in Schedule 1 may include the following:

s. 2(2)(a)

information for the purpose of identifying the voting area;

s. 2(2)(b)

a quick-response (QR) code for the purposes of verifying the validity of the ballot and identifying the electoral district.

s. 3 — Write-in ballots

s. 3(1)

A write-in ballot included in a mail-in voting package must be in the form set out in Schedule 2 or 3.

s. 3(2)

If the form of write-in ballot set out in Schedule 2 is used, text identifying the electoral district of the voter may be printed on the reverse side of the ballot.

s. 3(3)

A write-in ballot used for any other alternative voting option or for a voting opportunity must be in the form set out in Schedule 3.
