The powers, duties and functions of the board of the Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia include
s. 1(a)
those set out in sections 4.2 (2) (c) and 18.2 (d) of the Police Act, and
s. 1(b)
providing designated policing and designated law enforcement to reduce and eliminate organized crime and other significant criminal activity in British Columbia.

The powers, duties and functions of the chief officer of the Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia include to report to the board of the Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia each year on the implementation of programs and strategies to achieve the priorities, goals and objectives the board has set for the Organized Crime Agency of British Columbia in consultation with the chief officer.
