— Definition
In this regulation, Act means the Teachers Act.
s. 2
— Appointment to fill vacancy on British Columbia Teachers' Council
For the purposes of section 11 (10) of the Act,
s. 2(a)
before appointing a person to fill a vacancy, the minister must consult with the First Nations Education Authority, and
s. 2(b)
a person must meet both of the following eligibility requirements to be appointed:
s. 2(b)(i)
the person must possess substantial knowledge of and experience in the First Nations education system in British Columbia;
s. 2(b)(ii)
the person must provide to the minister the person's written consent to be appointed.
