This regulation applies to the Minister of State for Local Governments and Rural Communities for the 2025/2026 fiscal year.
In this regulation, Act means the Balanced Budget and Ministerial Accountability Act.
The expected results that the Minister of State for Local Governments and Rural Communities is to achieve for the purposes of section 5 (3) of the Act are as follows:
continue to work closely with the Union of British Columbia Municipalities as it prepares for executive committee engagements, quarterly meetings, advocacy days and its annual convention;
continue to hold meetings with representatives of rural and remote communities, regional districts, municipalities and First Nations, in order to understand their opportunities, needs and challenges;
