We further conclude that County Court did not abuse its discretion in its Sandoval and Ventimiglia rulings (see People v Hayes, 97 NY2d 203 , 207-208 [2002]; People v Alvino, 71 NY2d 233 , 242 [1987]). The evidence is legally sufficient to support the conviction, and the verdict is not against the weight of the evidence (see People v Bleakley, 69 NY2d 490 , 495 [1987]). Defendant received effective assistance of counsel (see People v Berroa, 99 NY2d 134 , 139 [2002]), and the sentence is not unduly harsh or severe. Defendant’s remaining contentions are not preserved for our review (see CPL 470.05 [2]), and we decline to exercise our power to review them as a matter of discretion in the interest of justice (see CPL 470.15 [6] [a]).
