Headnote

In the matter of the application of John Ludlum, a citizen resident of the town of Yates, for an order for the removal of John Putnam Levy from his office as justice of the peace of the town of Yates.

Ordered that the issues presented by the petition, answer, and affidavits herein be referred to Hon. William G. Laidlaw, to take proofs and report the same to this court, together with his opinion thereon, on or before the 12th day of November next.
