Judgment of the Court
CARTWRIGHT J.:-This is an appeal from a judgment of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, pronounced on February 14, 1962, dismissing, without recorded reasons, the appellant's appeal from his conviction before His Honour Judge Donley, on April 10, 1961, on the following charge: That in the years 1957, 1958, 1959 and 1960, at the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto in the County of York by deceit, falsehood or other fraudulent means defrauded the public to wit; certain members of the public who were induced to advance money to obtain the immigration to Canada of relatives or friends who were residing in Hungary of a sum of money in excess of three thousand dollars contrary to the Criminal Code.
