    If a taxpayer has incurred an expenditure on account of capital, and the amount of the expenditure would have been included in the taxpayer’s undepreciated capital cost of property included in Class 59 or 60 of Schedule II to the Income Tax Regulations if the taxpayer had acquired a property as a result of the expenditure, then the taxpayer is deemed to have acquired a property, included in Class 59 or 60, as the case may be, at a cost equal to the amount of the expenditure, at the time that the expenditure is incurred.
