    Where at any particular time after March 31, 1977 a corporation that was, at a previous time, a private corporation controlled directly or indirectly in any manner whatever by one or more non-resident persons becomes a Canadian-controlled private corporation (otherwise than by reason of a change in the residence of one or more of its shareholders), in computing the corporation’s capital dividend account at and after the particular time there shall be deducted the amount of the corporation’s capital dividend account immediately before the particular time.
