s. 1 — Handcraft industry

s. 1(1) — Handcraft industry

The Minister who administers the Regional Development Corporation Act may promote the development of the handcraft industry in the Province and may make loans or advances to persons engaged in the handcraft industry as provided in the regulations.

s. 1(2) — Handcraft industry

The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations, for the purpose of subsection (1),

s. 1(2)(a) — Handcraft industry

(a) prescribing the manner in which applications for a loan are to be made,

s. 1(2)(b) — Handcraft industry

(b) prescribing the terms and conditions on which loans are to be made,

s. 1(2)(c) — Handcraft industry

(c) limiting the amount of a loan,

s. 1(2)(d) — Handcraft industry

(d) fixing the rate of interest on a loan,

s. 1(2)(e) — Handcraft industry

(e) prescribing the purpose for which a loan may be made, and

s. 1(2)(f) — Handcraft industry

(f) respecting the formation of a special projects division to encourage artistic expression in leisure activities.

s. 2(1) — Amateur sport body or recreation body

The Minister of Tourism, Heritage and Culture may, in accordance with the regulations, provide financial assistance to an amateur sport body or a recreation body to aid and encourage the establishment or development of amateur sport and recreation in the Province.

s. 2(2) — Amateur sport body or recreation body

The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations, for the purpose of subsection (1),

s. 2(2)(a) — Amateur sport body or recreation body

(a) respecting the manner of making an application for financial assistance,

s. 2(2)(b) — Amateur sport body or recreation body

(b) respecting the information that is to be provided before financial assistance is given,

s. 2(2)(c) — Amateur sport body or recreation body

(c) respecting the conditions under which financial assistance may be given,

s. 2(2)(d) — Amateur sport body or recreation body

(d) respecting the amount of financial assistance to be given and the method and manner in which the financial assistance is to be given, and

s. 2(2)(e) — Amateur sport body or recreation body

(e) defining “amateur sport body” and “recreation body”.
