(1) The Act does not apply with respect to the sale or the facilitation of the sale of a ticket to an event to be held at,
a school, college, university or other post-secondary institution;
a church or other place of worship; or
a building that is owned or operated by a municipality, school board or community organization.
Subsection (1) does not apply in relation to a venue referred to in that subsection if, at the time of the sale or the facilitation of the sale of the ticket, the venue has been or is expected to be leased to or licensed by a person or organization, other than a municipality, school board or community organization, for the purpose of holding the event.
(1) The Act does not apply with respect to the sale or the facilitation of the sale of a ticket to an event, the primary purpose of which is the exhibition of a film.
In this section,
“film” has the same meaning as in section 2 of the Film Content Information Act, 2020.
