    Where, in the taxation year in which a taxpayer dies, an amount is included in computing the taxpayer’s income by virtue of paragraph 23(3)(c) of the Income Tax Application Rules, the provisions of subsection 159(5) apply, with such modifications as the circumstances require, as though the amount were an amount included in computing the taxpayer’s income for the year by virtue of subsection 70(2) or an amount deemed to have been received by the taxpayer by virtue of subsection 70(5).
