Jurisdictions and sources

Every corpus, its route, language and currentness.

Hyperlaw groups its corpora by jurisdiction and region. The landing map switches between regions; each jurisdiction also has a browsable index and a fixed URL prefix. The table below is the quick reference.

Currentness

Every instrument records the consolidation date the publisher provided (current_to). Federal Acts are refreshed from Justice Laws; the SCC corpus is kept current from the Court's official site. Irish Acts are as enacted, so their current_to is the enactment date and later amendments are absent. U.S. Code titles carry the OLRC release point; the U.S. Reports corpus runs through volume 609.

A corpus can be loaded without being complete. The coverage dashboard distinguishes live, staged and planned material, and the per-corpus notes above say where the known gaps are.

Languages

Federal legislation and SCC judgments have English and French editions, served under the bare route and /fr. The other corpora are published in one language: English for BC, NB, ON, UK, IE and the U.S.; English for the EU; German for Germany and Switzerland. Those corpora keep their source language even when the page chrome is English.

Sources and notices

Each corpus has its own licence and required attribution. The sources and disclaimers page collects the official links, the reproduction terms, the not-an-official-version statements and the privacy notes in one place.
